One of Wikichords focus is to provide printer-friendly chords, which means that once printed, a song should fit on a single sheet of paper (letter format).

When using any recent web browser, Wikichords will remove any useless stuff from a page before printing (like menus).

However, as some browser add some information on its own before printing (for example, the URL of the page and the date), simply printing a page with the default browser setting will not generate a completely clean Chord sheet. It is possible to configure the browser to disable these extra information. This guide will help you doing so.

(Note that for some of these browser, changing this configuration will affect all printed pages, not only those coming from Wikichords. You may want to note the defaut settings to set it back afterward.)

Mozilla Firefox

In the menu File -> Page Setup, in the Margins & Header/Footer tab, set all the Headers & Footers to --blank--.

In order to be able to set it back to the default values, here is a reminder of these values:

Upper left: Title
Upper center: --blank--
Upper right: URL
Lower left: Page # of #
Lower center: --blank--
Lower right: Date/Time

Microsoft Internet Explorer

For IE 6, use the File -> Page Setup menu, while for IE 7, use the printing button, Page Setup option.

Empty the Header and Footer textboxes.

In order to be able to set it back to the default values, here is a reminder of these values:

Header

&w&bPage &p of &P

Footer

&u&b&d
